Nat Turner
"Turner began to have apocalyptic visions and bloody fantasies in the fields and woods southwest of Jerusalem. " I saw white spirits and black spirits engaged in battle" he declared" (222)
This quote from Nat Turner says a lot about him and his state of mind. This shows that he isn't in a correct state of mind to be making decisions or leading people. His actions were not justified, but in his mind everything made sense and he was able to tell this to others and convince them. He was still a vary smart man for being able to convince people to kill others just by telling them about his visions or spirits fighting. This does not condemn them. I believe they were mislead, and Nat Turner was mentally unstable.
